STANDARD DUTY POST HOLE DIGGER
 |
The model 500 post hole digger handles 6", 9", or 12" standard or heavy duty augers with 2" inside diameter opening (see below). The three position boom allows the operator to maximize the auger digging depth. The model 500 mounts on tractors with category 1 or 2 rear three-point hitches. A handle is provided for the operator to adjust the digging angle from the driver seat. The gearbox is protected by the shear-bolt PTO driveline. The gearbox features tapered roller bearings and spring loaded seals,for long service life.

| The optional model DFK-50 Down Force Kit is designed for the model 500 post hole digger. The DFK-50 provides additional down pressure to dig through hard soil surfaces. Standard Duty Augers: use for lighter soils free of stones, roots, etc. Heavy Duty Single Flight Augers: use for tougher digging or where stones, roots, etc. may be present. Heavy Duty Double Flight Augers: use for loose soil such as sand/gravel to help carry soil to the surface. | |
